FileVault Updates in Lion?
Hi All,
I would like to start a conversation about the changes in FileVault that are available in the Lion preview. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the preview, so I can't really contribute.
So I'm hoping that there are individuals that can shed some light on the topic. Of special interest to me is how well FileVault plays with TimeMachine in terms of backups. The SL version of FileVault only does backups at logout and will backup unnecessary portions of data, which really defeats the purpose for me since I *never* logout. On top of that, if I were logging out, I would probably be leaving and taking my MBP with me, so I wouldn't have time sit and wait for a long backup anyway. That may work for desktops, but not very nice for the mobile user.
Of course, any other information would be helpful and interesting such as what options are available in System Preferences, etc.
