Why is it so hard to find an iPad 2 case?

I got this shiney new iPad 2 and I'm having problems finding a decent case. Seems like they are all coming out "real soon now". All we want is an folio type case that is not too thick and protects both the front and back. Of the announced ones we like the Speck PixelSkin HD for the iPad 2 best. The Quirky case is nice but i don't see plans yet for an ipad 2 version never mind a release date.No black cases. So far everything is pretty boring. Anyone have any interesting case suggestions? This is a family iPad so a case is a necessity otherwise I would go sans case.
