dude, thats f---ing awesome! I want one.

granted that guy that is demoing it is not very interesting, the product itself is really cool.

but it has nothing on this

    <a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/lights/5a47/"; target="_blank">http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/lights/5a47/</a>;

which, with some modification would make a pretty decent lightsaber, only you can't see the beam at daytime or in the light, but hey its more dramatic that way

also, refering to something as "the gayest thing I've ever seen" is bound to offend people, whats the point?...I know this forum isn't very strict on things like this(some forums I visit would delete your post and ban you for a couple days, merely because SOMEONE can always be offended) I am not offended, but I think you should be more careful, cause its pointless to piss people off for no reason.

not my intent, but i see your point. i guess it's so ingrained as part of the vernacular. how about dorkiness instead or would that offend dorks? fvck'm. dorkiness it is.

I've seen one of those green lasers being used for stargazing once, in July of 2001. It was pretty cool, very visible at night. I'm guessing they will become the norm pretty soon, they've already come down in price by about $100 since last year (either that or the one I saw had an inflated price because it was sold as an astronomical aid).

It's OK. Dorks are cool now. Just pay attention to the TV. I've seen a lot of ads where the user of the product / spokesperson for the product is referred to as a dork.

    Dorks of the world unite.

Look at you, botching the dork and nerd definitions. Nerds were cool in the 80's. Dorks are cool now. Plus, I think "geek" has transplanted the usage of "nerd" these days.

If you ask me, a dork is a passionate follower of one or many non-mainstream interests. A nerd is particularly socially inept geek, and a geek is, basically, a dork who's interests tend to be technical. That's what they tell us in geek school.

You can't spell geek without EE! Yah!

As both a dork and a nerd I'm offended by all of your comments. You are all insensitive clods!

Suddenly dorks and nerds are en vogue. I bet you guys talk about all of your dork friends and how you're cool with them being dorks, right? Hah, typical. You probably have stereotypical ideas of what real dorks are like, don't ya!?

Sure everyone seems to be more excepting of dorks these days but did you know we're only allowed to marry in Nevada!? In 2002 you'd expect a little more tolerance.

    DORK PRIDE!

But surely one of the very foundations of Dorkhood is having no pride whatsoever?!

What are you, some kind of Gen X'er, way out of touch with American youth!?!?!

Anyway, dork pride is definitely there. Usually when I try to summarize the ideal girl/woman it's something along the lines of "cute, and a total dork." That's dork pride for sure. Inadvertent, but for sure.

Speaking of dorky girls, Someone put a candycane on my door handle with a message attached that says "From a secret Pookie, please come find me." It's nice, being the Alpha-Dork.

I'm going to get one of those green laser pens!

    period.

then once I have the cash I'm going to get a masterreplica FX...if they make a return of the jedi model.

Green is my favorite color....and I think I should have a green lightsaber

think of it this way if your called "A dork"

and you are a spoonerist(sp?) then you might as well be "O dark" and thats not bery vad
