using 10.6.7 and iTunes 10.2.2. Haven't done anything that I am aware of to muck things up. Here is what I have done to troubleshoot:

*repaired permissions

*logged in as another user

*verified, then repaired disk

*done a complete uninstall of iTunes per Apple KB article

*downloaded the 10.6.7 combo update and installed it

I'm frustrated!!

This is what I am seeing in console after the crash:

I am having the same issue. I am also running iTunes 20.2.2 and OSX 10.6.7. I tried all of the same things listed above with no success.

I have been experiencing the same problem and tried everything you have listed above. In this case, it appears that the iTunes Library xml file is damaged. The only way to fix this is to rebuild the library's metadata. To do this, complete the following steps.

    1. Locate the iTunes folder (By default, this folder is in \Users\Music)

    2. Drag the folder to the Desktop (or other directory)

    3. Open iTunes

    4. Import your entire music collection from the Old iTunes folder you dragged to the desktop earlier.

    5. iTunes will automatically rebuild your library, this might take a while. Enjoy!
