Product placement

Remember when you would be watching a show and everyone was using iphones. They didn't ram it in your face and most of the time they were in cases hiding the Apple logo.



Now that Microsoft has entered this game product placement has become in your face.



Take the season finale of Castle, at one point Castle takes a photo of a document and sends it to him self, the whole procedure is done in closeup on his windows phone with him using outlook to send it.



This isn't the first time in the show that this has been done but every time they have a windows phone product placement its done in a horrible, 'hey check out my cool phone' deal.



Its awful, its like one of those geeks jaming his iphone/windows mobile/android/ipad etc into you face and extolling its virtues. I don't care for this in real life let alone in TV shows.



Subtle placement? yes, it works but because there are few products which are as iconic as Apples they have to ram them home with massive logos, or in your face demos.



Urgh, when will it end?
