A republican does the right thing!

Compared to other politician, who as their last act usually helps out some of their friends in trouble with the law, George Ryan here does the only thing he could do when he had realized the danger of capital punishment. Good to se a politician who won´t close his eyes to this problem.



And that the Democrat who is going to replace him disagrees with the decision only shows that you can´t take party colour for anything when the hunt of popularity sets in.

    I am pleased to see this. I hope the country can make some progress with this issue. I am firmly against the death penalty.
