Will Apple Inc lagged a lot behind IF iPhone turned out to be a failed venture?

In the technology industry, companies are moving ahead at rates which are unimaginable. If Apple Inc was to fail to develop iPhone, would it as such, lag behind its competitors as the competitors produce new, successful products during the period when Apple Inc was developing (the eventual unsuccessful) iPhone?

So is this your homework assignment or something? You should do your own homework.

    Apple won't fail. Period.

It isn't a "failed venture", it isn't going to not be "developed".

The first-gen was even a lock on this future. All subsequent generations of iPhone simply continue to prove it.

And because of its runaway success, Apple itself won't be "failing" any time within the next three decades.

Hello Alexander33. I deleted your other thread because it was pretty much the same as this one. Please don't litter the forum with requests for other people to do your homework for you.

If you want to get discussion going, I suggest you state your own opinion on this matter, of course backed up with sources and logical reasoning.
