If I were to buy <a href="http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/CDA/Industrial/IndustrialProductDetails/0,1444,796,00.html"; target="_blank">this</a> DVD-R drive for my DP 533 G4, would I be able to:

1)Use it with iDVD 2?

2)Have both the DVD-R drive and my current CD-RW drive installed and usable at the same time? (I currently have the one CD-RW drive, a zip250, both drives internal, and two hard drives, both also internal.

3)Is my only option to switch the DVD-R with the zip250?

    Yes.

Not without modifications. The lower bay only supports 3.5" devices.

That is not an option at the moment. You're only option is to switch the DVD-R with your CD-RW drive. If you're adventurous, you can modify the two front-loading drive bays in your G4 so that they accept two 5.25" drives. There were some articles at <a href="http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/"; target="_blank">www.xlr8yourmac.com</a> on how to do this.

Apparently, iDVD 2 only works if the Pioneer drive is on the internal IDE chain. This is not confirmed, though.

Would it be possible to stick the CD-RW in a Firewire enclosure or something similar?
