MBA 13" heating issue?

I just purchased a MacBook Air 13" yesterday evening. I haven't used it much but have noticed that it gets a bit warm on by the base of the screen and the first 3 rows of the keys. That front area of is a lot warmer and a bit hot, is this normal? I have the MBA sitting on my desk, no cloth or anything like that under it.

Of course it's normal. Where do you think the CPU and GPU are? The battery's down below them, so that won't heat up much. It'd suck to have the chips down by the palm rests? except in the winter. Most people don't take 90 degree metal lightly.

I have noticed lately that mine is getting pretty hot on the bottom. I leave it on all the time though. Maybe I should think about giving it a rest sometimes. Do you have the screen up/computer one 24/7?
