I'm glad someone has the same mindset as me.

Wow. Just wow. Apple employs how many thousands of people in the US? Oh but they aren't union jobs, so they don't count maybe.

If Apple could manufacture devices in the US affordably, they would. Maybe US workers are "unpatriotic" for not working for $1/hour (or whatever the Foxcomm folks make). Or maybe we should just stop name calling.

This reminds me of Atlas Shrugged where the productive companies were criticized rather than celebrated.

The cognitive dissonance here is kind of funny. The Washington Examiner is a rightwing tabloid, owned by billionaire Philip F. Anschutz, and which typically espouses a right to far right editorial policy.

So that would include calling people socialists if they think American corporations are under-taxed, railing against government intervention of any sort and generally toeing the party line when it comes to right wing ideology in general.

Yet here they are apparently insinuating that something ought to be done about an American company's choices as to how to handle its assets. I would imagine that this is being done just because it can be used to attack Obama-- consistency not being exactly the strong suit of this kind of relentless partisan operation.

I have no idea what Galbi's politics are, I'm assuming he only posted this because it ostensibly reflects badly on Apple, which as far as I can make out is the kind of thing that gets him up in the morning.

I am struck by the next poster citing Atlas Shrugged, which suggests we've entered some kind of anarchic self devouring phase of reflexive right wing belligerence, which does cheer me up a bit.

They're probably in bed with the opposition: Micro$hit or Google.

I would like the writer of the article to name one other company that is building two new offices here in the USA. Do they think Apple is going to just make the building and not staff um? Yeah adding thousands of jobs here in the states sure is unpatriotic.

    Silly Apple.
