Apple USB modem

Since upgrading to Lion I have found that my USB modem is now unsupported. This is extremely irritating as there are times when I need to send faxes and even use it for email/internet in some 'not yet 3G' areas. This comes from being on the road some of the time.

Can anyone suggest how I can get around this?

    Revert to Snow Leopard.
