Help!!! My icons are crazy

I installed Chimera...then delted it. Now, when ever i start up my computer, the finder window is huge and icons are all over the place. I tried to reset everything, but as soon as I turn my computer back on the settings revert back to the huge window and crazy icons. I also delted the finder prefs, but that didn't work. Any way i can fix this? thanks <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

    Change your preferences. A way to set a default finder window size is to click on the finder icon, then set how you want it to be, then close it immediatly

    Thanks, that worked until I shut down my computer and turned it back on. Then immediately it reverted back to the larger size and icons were scattered. Is there something im not doing right?
