Disk Burner Hates Me.
Hey everyone,
Sorry, but yes, I have another question. I have an external LaCie PleXWriter hooked up to my G4 Tower using FireWire. It's no problem to copy all my files to the CD-R using the Finder. But the problem comes after that.
Once I click burn, (either trough the toolbar or contextual menus) the menu comes up to ask me whether I wish to Cancel, Eject, or Burn the CD.
Obviously I click the Burn button, but after I click the button, the computer acts like it's gonna burn the disk, but the icon just dissapears from the desktop.
The CD drive doesn't eject the disk, however, the icon just dissapears from the desktop. Then the computer gives me an error basically telling me it can't burn the disk cause it doesn't know where it went.
Now, this happened not only on my G4 but also on my iMac with the internal CD-R drive.
If anyone has any clue what the heck is going on and could help it would be very greatly appreciated. The files I need to copy are pretty important and any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks soooo much!

Anyone?
Do you have toast installed? I've read where there's a conflict between toast and disk burner.

I have Toast and disc burner without problems - I even erase one of my kewl pocket CD-RW discs with Toast, then burn them with disc burner.

OS X or OS 9?
OS 9 was a bitch with toast and disc burner.
Please help! Maybe I am doing something wrong in the actuall burn process.
Would someone care to walk me through the steps of correctly burning a disk with the finder?
Thanks guys.
If I attempt to name it, then all hell breaks loose and my burned kicks out the disk.
So I guess it's good that I got it working, but why the heck would it not let me name a CD?!!
Oh well.
