How can I use my ibook on my pc network?

I currently have a PC destop and PC laptop, using windows 98 and using the linksys network. I use analogx as my network so that they can share internet connection, files and folders and printer.

I just got an ibook and I want to be able to use it on the same network. I have tried setting my network settings on the ibook the same, but it doesnt seem to work.

Should I use the 'built in ethernet" ?

Then do I configure using DHCP or manually ?

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated!

it's been a long time since i tried to fileshare a mac with win98 machines. you could try a software program called DAVE, i know that works perfectly. otherwise, i believe that OS X will allow you to connect to PC's without any additional software, but i'm not sure offhand how to do it. there are threads floating around that have this info though, a look through active threads should help you out.

I got dave working but it only allows me to share files, and not my pcs internet connection.

Does anyone have any ideas how to do this? Currently I use analoge x for my other pcs on the network, but I dont know if you can configure that for a MAc?

Hey iain, I'm currenty sharing a internet connection but it's ethernet. All I do with that is take a hub and connect them up. This probly wont solve your problem. Sorry I'm not much help.
