Keyboard eject key

Hi,

I have searched through the forums in an attempt to find out if it is possible to assign keyboard commands for two seperate drives. Currently, if I push the eject key, both the internal and external drive doors open.

I have a powermac running OS X 10.1.3 and and external Lacie drive. Any help would be appreciated.

I have yet to see any kind of hack available for this. I'd love to find one, though.

About the only work around that I have noticed is that when a CD is in the external drive, you can eject it by control clicking the CD icon and selecting eject or by dragging the CD icon to the trash. This ejects the disc without effecting the internal drive. This will also work for getting discs out of the internal drive without opening the external one. Once the internal drive is open however, if I hit the keyboard eject key to shut the door, the internal drive door will close and the external one will open. If you don't want that to happen, you have to push the internal drive door closed and I don't like to do that. However,if you want to use the internal drive to begin with, the only way to get it open is by the keyboard and that opens both units. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

It's a vicious cycle and it doesn't make since to not have some kind of work around for it.
