Upgrading RAM in Macbook Unibody

I currently have 2GB of RAM in my late 2008 model (before they made them Pros with backlit keyboards...). It is currently getting a little bit slow with Lion etc What is safe to upgrade to? 4GB, 6GB, 8GB?



Any recommended sources of RAM? - Given that I live on mainland Europe.
