Best way to Rip a DVD?

I have a few DVDs that I own that I'd like to get onto my computer through the included Apple-supplied DVD ROM drive. What software should I use to go about this?



Space isn't really an issue, I have an 80GB HD. However, I'd like it to be a versatile format. I know nothing about MPEG2 vs. MPEG 4 etc...what should I do?
