Is it? Just dragged to the trash, deleted them, now I want them back. Norton doesn't help much. Can you?

Their is a program called Rewind......

You see programs are still their even if they are deleted, they are only truely gone when you have done a zero all data..

A harddrive is made up of 1's and 0's for when programs are on it etc...( Binary) and when you do a zero all data it makes the harddrive all 0's as it says, so their is no trace of programs..

    I hope this makes sense

If you can't recover it using off the shelf utilities like Norton, Techtool and Diskwarrior (diskwarrior rocks), it's gone.

What Drive Ra is trying to say is that when you "empty trash" the disk space occupied by the file is marked as free space, but the data isn't necessarily nuked.
