I have to use the Applet Launcher for my chat needs becasue none of my browsers are stable for some reason...anyway, why is ther eno audio in Applet Launcher? is that something that can be fixed in 10.2?
Asking a vague question about an operating system update that has yet to get released will get you nowhere fast. At this point, it's really hard to say whether or not 10.2 will fix anything.
That aside, what chat platform are you using? It's possible that the particular Java application may not be pure, and is calling on things specific to windows.

which would seem to indicate that full audio support will be integrated in Apple's Java 2 implementation, due... whenever.
