Simple Multiple Account Setup Question

Ok, here is my scenario and I figured some of the people on this forum would know the best way to set this up.

My wife and I are giving my stepdaughter an iphone for Christmas. She has owned an iTouch in the past but really the only things she has on there are dumb free apps. I believe her dad used his itunes account for setup on the touch. She does NOT really have any music that needs to be kept.

Ok, with that said, here is what I am wanting to do. I want to set her up with her own itunes account (she is responsible and will not just randomly buy stuff & those kinds of things) tied to my wife and I's checking account/

So, how do I go setting this up? Here are some of the parameters or issues.

Itunes accounts in the household

-Me: iphone and ipad

-Wife: iphone

Itunes accounts in her dad's house

-step-daughters dad

-unknown of his wife & her kids

So, what is the best way to set this up so that she can go back and forth and not have to worry about syncing and that crap? Her phone is a 3gs.

I'd say the best thing would be to setup a new iTunes account for her without a credit card using the following setup:

Then simply top-up the account using iTunes vouchers. You can do it $50 at a time if you prefer so that it lasts a while:

This way, you won't have to worry about the other family using the account and overcharging the account. This can be setup directly on the phone too so purchases can be made on the phone itself.

The main iTunes account that gets synced would reside on the computer she uses most. It would be good if Apple allowed multiple sync but they have a setup that frustrates legitimate users more than it dissuades people from copying music. The workarounds to maintain two accounts to sync are tricky:

I'm not 100% sure if the latest wifi sync features get round this but it's easier to have one main computer account to sync with and iCloud is supposed to handle the rest. With the iTunes account setup on the device, purchases can be made directly on it anyway.
