My G3 has suddenly slowed down...

I have an older beige G3 desk top that has suddenly slowed down completely. This past weekend we had a power interruption and my old box has run slowly since. Any help would be appreciated.

    I had other problems, but I copied the main drive to another hard drive, reformatted the main drive, and copied all my files back. There was a big speed boost. You might try this if you have a lit of free time, or just run a disk utility to optimize the drive.



    We need to start a Beige G3 "cult". That is still an awesome machine.

    I'd recommend rebuilding the hard drive with a tool such as DiskWarrior. Also, test the RAM, etc, make sure nothing got fried.
