GeForce 4 Memory Allocation for Dual Monitors

The GeForce 4 Ti has 128 MB of video memory. I am just wondering how that memory is divided between monitors in a dual display setup. I am assuming that if only one display is connected it gets to use the full 128 MB of memory, correct?

In a two display setup each monitor should be allocated 64 MB of memory. Is this true? What happens if you start playing a game that only uses one monitor, will the GeForce 4 power down the second monitor and devote a full 128 MB of memory to the monitor you're playing the game on?

Would you recommend using the dual-head capability of the GeForce 4 Ti, or to get a second video card?
