Non-Airport iBook sharing same DSL as Base Station?

I (will, in a few days) own a TiBook with Airport, and I just received my Base Station. Is there a way for my girlfriend to use the DSL modem with a cord while I simultaneously surf wirelessly? There is a WAN port and a LAN port -- could I plug the DSL into the WAN port while she plugs into the LAN port?

My second question: will my DSL speed suffer while we are both logged-in?

Thanks in advance, everybody -- you're a great group of people to have around.

Regards,

PEte

yeah, that should work just fine. haven't done it with an airport station before, but i have done it with a linksys wireless router and Dnet router before, you should be fine.

as for speed, you will be sharing the same pipe, so when she's downloading pr0n you'll take a hit on your speed. other than that you should be fine.
