How do MiniDisks work?

Well I´m not interested in long technical explanations...

1: Can you keep "MD Compressed" files on your computer?

2: Can you "record" MP3s to the MiniDisk? And will the music suffer from both the mp3 and MD compression if you do?

Thnx

Hmm I don't think ATRAC compression has been used on computer audioo, although the new sony memstick players (which are crap) encode into a version of it similar to mp3, not the version used with minidisc.

Of course you can record mp3s to md using regular audio cables or some sort of digital out device that you can get. they dont really suffer from the MD compression because its not as bad as mp3 so they just sound as bad as normal mp3s
