Downloaded Apple manual in pdf format has all scrunched up helvetica text??? WTF?

Just downloaded an Apple pdf manual from the SUPPORT section and *all* the text is scrunched so badly that it's almost unreadable and a real chore to wade through.

Anyone got a workaround or know what the problem here is?

I'm using Preview on a G4 400 (OS X 10.1.5)

    Zoom in?

Press the apple key and the up arrow at the same time.

    I had that problem too, also, when I printed it, the images all had a red tint. I totally wasted 32 pages worth of paper and ink! <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

Hmm. Mike is right -- perhaps the document is zoomed out too much. Alternatively, have you tried opening it in the Adobe Acrobat Reader?

And since this isn't a general issue with Mac OS X, I'm moving it to the Genius Bar.
