Wacom Intuos2 drawing tablets

Is there any reason why Wacon would switch their products to the USB2 standard, or is the throughput so small that it doesn't matter? I'm about to order one, but would be bummed if Wacom were to make an announcement at Seybold after I make my purchase.

    in a hardware segment that it dominates, wacom is not likely to move to usb 2 for quite a while.

    wacom is one of the slowest moving japanese companies on this type of thing.

    i think you are safe to buy usb 1.1 compliant.
