Help Me Use the Built-in Jag FTP

I have Verizon DSL (I've had it since early 2000), and the problem is that it doesn't allow you to have different IP's. I have two computers in the house: a Mac and a Windows machine. It appears that we both use the same IP address.

Thus, my web and FTP sharing addresses look like this, with a whole bunch of "pool" crap:

Is there any way I can successfully get this to work?

Also, it would be nice if I could see my other Windows machine on the network, but again, this probably isn't possible, right?

Okay... if I understand your problem correctly (and I may not), you just don't like the IP address Verizon is giving you, right? Because of that pool stuff. Unfortunately there's no way around that unless you want to run a DNS server.

I don't see why FTP wouldn't be working. You just have to use the address it gives you in order to connect to it.

And you should be able to connect to any Windows machines on your network assuming they have file sharing turned on. Go to Connect To Server and see what comes up.
