how is the best way to mantain the battery at its best performance... ive seen people that remove the batteries when their laptops are plugged, ive heard this makes the battery last longer
Well, like anything else, a battery is going to wear out over time. Modern batteries don't have memory issues, so you shouldn't worry about when you recharge them, nor should you worry about fully discharging.
Keeping the battery in the laptop while it is on AC keeps your battery topped off and warm. I fail to see how this degrades the performance of the battery any considerable amount throughout the battery's lifetime. I always keep my batteries on charge when they're not in a device, and I never use my laptop without a battery in it.
I think this is a myth... right up there with people that think by freezing the battery they can get some more juice out of it.
