Can someone let me know how to tell what version I just bought of the iPad 2?

    The release name is 2,4.

    So I wonder if the sales person would let me take one out of the box, install GeekBench to determine it's the one I want. 20 boxes later they might become less hesitant when the next person ask's. Maybe stores will start displaying which version is which, I would gladly pay a small premium. 


     


    After having my new iPad 3 for a few months I think I still prefer the iPad 2. I like the weight, size and better battery life much more.
