Has my Wacom gone the Way of Waco?

I have problems, lots of them.

But only one do I care to post here.

My Wacom tablet [about a year and a half old] is going nuts. Often if My Mac [dual 533 running OS 10.2.2 or whatever] goes to sleep it won't wake, but instead I'll be greated with a simple "Boop, Boop" only twice. Then Nothing. I unplug the tablet and its back to my normal grey apple symbol and a happy restart [why they got rid of the happy mac I'll never know].

Today I find that it now figures that about 1/4" above the Tablet is considred a "click". I've unplugged it and same thing. Has my Tablet past its expirey date? I do use it everyday and I guess all that clicking and dragging is hard on the little guy. i really Hate using the mouse and would like ANY advice that any of you brilliant folks out there might have. I hope the fate of my wacom is less gruesome than that of Waco.

Help.

I would uninstall any software you installed for the tablet, dlete all preferences who could be associated with the tablet, and visit wacom.com

My tablet had similar problems a while ago. While drawing or painting I had my cell phone sitting between it and the keyboard, and it would screw things up royally. Is your tablet a wireless? Are the cables crimped somewhere if it is not? Do they go through a hub, or are they plugged into the computer/keyboard? All these should be your first thought, as a pinched wire may cause some of the problems (especially if you have a keyboard drawer with all your stuff on it.

Just trying to help, and type at the same time...

mine works fine...they are made pretty tough so i wouldn't worry about breaking it...i'm more worried about the cord that runs out the back of mine...it seems so vulnerable
