Desktop Shortcut Question

On my iMac (which I think shipped with Leopard originally, now on Mountain Lion), I have a desktop shortcut that goes to "/". The icon is a picture of a hard drive. I assume it is a shortcut although it doesn't have a arrow symbol.


 


Is it possible to add this shortcut to my MacBook (also on Mountain Lion)? I can't figure out how.

    Awesome! I never would have thought to look there (although I assume I did once, lol). That did just what I want, thanks! :)
