Facebook on Tuesday announced the public release of its iOS SDK 3.1, which leverages the core integration features of iOS 6 like native login and sharing.

Following up on the Facebook SDK 3.0, which brought initial integration with iOS 6, the fresh-out-of-beta update brings native UI controls and seamless login across iOS versions, as well as improved API support, session management and ad analytics.

Facebook's Eddie O'Neil announced the updated SDK through developer blog, saying, "This integration opens up new opportunities for mobile app developers as you can easily build the foundation for a social app, Facebook Login and sharing functionality, into your product."

The SDK is meant to drive Facebook's presence in iOS by offering developers a simple route to integrating the native features into their upcoming apps.

Developers can download the SDK from the Facebook Developer website for iOS.
