    alt something + e. i don't remeber cos i have è and é on my board....

system prefernces -> international ->keyboard layout -> choose apart from the beyboards you use, also gamma map.

that allow you to have ALL characthers i any application.

up in the menubar, you will see a flag (us flag probably) click it and choose gamma. and you see the small charmap, just choose what you need. or see the code for it

On an english QWERTY keyboard, here is the procedure without having to use the Character Palette. Type an accent combo and it will enter the accent highlighted. Then, type one of the letters it can be applied to and it will be. Here are the combos:

    option-e for ´

    option-i for Â?

    option-u for ¨

    option-n for Â?

    option-` for `

So, to get é, I press option-e and then e. Simple, eh?

Here are the keys they can be applied to:

    ´ on a, e, i, o, u, and the spacebar - á é Ã* ó ú ´

     on a, e, i, o, u, and the spacebar - â ê î ô û

    ¨ on a, e, i, o, u, and the spacebar - ä ë ï ö ü ¨

     on a, n, o, and the spacebar - ã ñ õ

    ` on a, e, i, o, u, and the spacebar - Ã* è ì ò ù `

It also works on capital letters like this:

    Ã Ã? Ã Ã? Ã?

    Ã? Ã? Ã? Ã? Ã?

    Ã? Ã? Ã Ã? Ã?

    Ã? Ã? Ã?

    Ã? Ã? Ã? Ã? Ã?

    Enjoy!
