Current TB HDD's in older Mac???

I use last years iMac with Snow Leopard but will upgrade to ML soon.

I have two internal 1TB WD Black HDD's in Rosewill enclosures on my desk.   I need another 2TB HDD or two 1TB's. I would rather not have additional individual enclosures cluttering up my desk.

My old G4 is gathering dust in a closet.  I kept it because I like the lucite look.  I'd like to use it as a box to house the HDD's.

1. Would the existing G4 bays be capable of handling current TB HDD's?  What would I need to do to create that ability?

2. I would like to gut the box somewhat just to house the WD HDDs (in enclosures) to get them off my desk ( as well as using the existing bays for additional HDD's) and run cables (cable??) from the enclosures to my iMac. What problems would I have in accomplishing that feat?

3. Is it possible to add more bays and not use the enclosures?

Is there really a way to accomplish this, or am I too computer illiterate to realize it can't be done?

Any suggestions would be gladly accepted.  Thanks.
