Changing from Photo Shop Doc to JPEG

in Genius Bar edited January 2014
I'm probably missing something stupid, but I scanned a bunch of pictures in to photo shop and when I saved them I saved them as psd files. Now when I go to save a copy to save them as jpegs so I can e-mail them and what not I'm only getting the option of saving as raw or tif? How can I resave these images as jpeg's? Thanks a bunch.

    Yeah, this is in Photo Shop 6 in OS 9 if it matters. I only use photo shop every couple of months, but I don't ever remember having this problem before.

    The save for web option is grayed out and unavailable.

    try opening them in graphic converter

    if they wont open save as tiff and then open in any image editing app, they should be able to convert (GC and Pshop also)

    Not sure, but:

    You may have to:

    Layer -> Flatten Image

    And maybe also:

    Image -> Mode -> RGB

    and

    Image -> Mode -> 8 bits/channel
