From the release notes:
What's New in Version 3.0
Remote is simpler and easier with new ways to browse your library and see and edit upcoming songs with Up Next. A redesigned experience for the iPad shows all the songs in an album with the Expanded view and a more powerful search delivers results as you type.
Remote version 3.0 comes in at 17.9MB and can be downloaded via the iOS App Store.

iCloud Control Panel

iOS device owners who don't own Macs received an upgrade to the Windows-centric iCloud Control Panel, now at version 2.0, which comes with various fixes and a slightly revamped UI. Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 is required for the download, and it is unclear if the program supports Microsoft's latest Windows 8 operating system.

This article is inaccurate. iCloud Control Panel version 2.1 was the most recent Windows version released yesterday. It brings support to Windows 8 according to the release notes from Apple Software Update.
