Connecting to Wireless Devices that say Unable to Connect !!!

I can't believe how hard I tried to look this up and it was clear that I found alot of senario's but not the solution to my issue.  if you are trying to connect a device wirelessly and you continue to see the unable to join network or unable to connect here is what I did that worked:


 


1.  I went to my router login


2.  I went to wireless devices 


3.  I added the device by name and mac address


4.  I was connected...........YEAH.........I have spent hours trying to figure this out and wanted to share the information.
