fcp x with la cie thunderbolt portable drive

Hi everyone... 


 


Just purchased a la cie thunderbolt portable drive to use with fcp x but it's not recognized by the program the way that other external drives are. Wonder if this may be a formatting issue. Yet the drive works fine with adobe bridge and other applications.


 


Would be grateful for any suggestions...
