Quicksiler 867 fan runs all the time

I just purchased a new 867 Superdrive at a local computer store. My question is... the fan runs all the time. When i turn it on until I shut it down..IS THIS NORMAL??? I had a G3 Tower, years ago and I dont remenber the fan coming on like this.. Im concern about this.. Any help would be grateful

    In my dual Ghz SlowSilver (tm).....



    The machine is okay when it's first turned on.....but after 30 minutes of use the CPU fan starts to kick in and it will not stop until I shut down the machine.....



    I think this is normal since the cpus are VERY hot.....

    I have a QS 867 from 2001, and the fan runs the same from start-up to shut-down or sleep.

    I found out by Apple that the fan runs all the time. I solve the problem and took it back and ordered a Powerbook. Im keeping my CUBE until they fix the sound issue in the Power Macs..javascript: x()Thanks for the help
