Hello.

I have a USB printer (Canon i850) that I would like to be able to print to over Ethernet. Does anyone know a good print server that works with Macs?

Thanks in advance.

what OS are you using. If both are using X, then you can just turn printer sharing on in the preferences.

My PowerBook is running 10.2.3 but the printer isn't connected to another computer. It's sitting in the study, near an Ethernet jack that I would like to connect it to.

There is a print server available on Apple's web page. I think it is airport though. Plus it is a little pricey. But that is the only one I know of.

Check out linksys EtherFast Wireless-Ready USB PrintServer. It runs about $83. Setup if like other linksys routers is easy and straight forward through the web. There is also a wireless one they have that runs about $130. I like their stuff, I've got two routers from them myself.

    Hope this helps.

You could always just connect the printer to your powerbook
