VPC 6 and Shared Networking

Help! Ive just upgraded to virtual pc 6 and installed a clean copy of windows 2000 pro. Problem is that i'm unable to connect to the internet thru VPC. I'm running OS X.2.3. and have a DSL connection going through a router. If I select virtual switch it says that I won't be able to have external network access when I boot vpc up. I have also set the the option in windows to "get IP address automatically". The pc gets and IP address, but it seems to have a problem with the DNS as it can't find any servers. Any help would be appreciated.

    any suggestions? I have had VPC forever and taken it to apple stores and called support lines but no one can get me connected to the internet with windows....I have the newest 6.1.1 update, using OS 10.3.2 with an older airport card and base station and dial up. Nothing works...

    Shared networking is working fine for me with VPC 6.0 and Win 2000 Pro.



    It set itself up automatically after installing windows. Maybe a reinstall of VPC and then windows onto VPC would help?



    PS i'm on my campus network using a DHCP connection
