OS X Server Question: Server Status App Problems?
I just installed 2 new OS X (10.2.3) Servers today. Both are on new dual 867 G4s with 1.2 GB RAM. They (finally) replaced my ASIP servers! :0)
I am running only AFP services right now. Simple set-up, nothing too complicated. I have 5 share points per server. One server has a u160 hardware RAID, and the other server has a u160 software RAID. Both are journaled. I have 30 Mac OS 9 clients and 5 OS X clients on my switched 10/100 LAN.
The servers are performing fine so far. BUT:
I have noticed that if I start the Server Status application and let it run a while (30 minutes maybe), it eventually will tell me that "I no longer have any AFP services available". I of course panic and think my services have died or worse, my server has crashed, But the error is wrong; I go to any of my network clients (Mac OS 9) and the connections/share points are fine, no problems.
Has anyone noticed these "false alarms" in with the Server Status app before?
