Diagnostic tools for internal combo drive?
Hey guys (and girls),
Since I got back from the Christmas break, my internal combo drive (Philips 5101) has been having intermittent problems with CD-RWs. Namely that it often fails to erase a recorded disc (different media types btw) both from the disc utilities and using Toast 5.2. There doesn't seem to be any problem with writing at all.
Are there any software tools that can test the CD drives for this type of failure?
I am using OS X 10.2 and I have tried the hardware test, but there was no reported problem.
Any pointers would be quite welcome.
