Can't delete printer from Print Center.

I changed the hostname of my printserver, without adding the new printer on my iBook I hit print and recieved an error. Ok, so I added the printer under the new host name and everything is fine, except I can't delete the 'old' printer. Whenever I hit delete I get an An error occurred while trying to delte the selected printers. Error 1030.



Since it stopped trying to print to the 'wrong' printer this is really just a minor annoyance, but a real one.

    I've had a number of goofy errors like this. We have several printers and I sometimes move the USB cable from one to the other and have had some printer descriptions get stuck in Print Center where they couldn't be deleted.



    We called Apple and discussed this. They told us to quit Print Center, delete a preference from the Library/Preferences folder and restart the Print Center.



    I can't find my notes on this, I believe the file was:



    com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist

    Sweet.



    I deleted the 3 com.apple.print* .plists in ~/Library/Preferences/ and launched PrintCenter.app; the ghost printer remained, but I was able to delete it this time around.
