Hi,

I've been searching the forum for an answer, but no luck. So here goes.

Purchased:

Pioneer DVR-105

Ilife

Maxtor 120GB drive

My mac is an older Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics) (version = 2.9) 400/100 MHz machine w/ 320MB of memory.

Every time I try to burn a dvd it gets stuck in Stage 4: Multiplexing and burning.... It says less than a minute left for over 12 hours.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks.

Is that an internal burner? I kind of thought iDVD only worked on superdrive computers (the ones that are shipped with dvd burner), but that may have changed since iDVD 3. I guess you should check out the information that came with iLife, as to supported burners and such.

Yes, it is an internal. In fact it is the same drive Apple uses. iDVD 3 now supports several internal (non firewire) burners. I visited the apple discussion forums, and this is not an uncommon problem.

Are you using the latest firmware version on your drive?
