No Webcast? This would imply no new products.
Is it just me, or has there been no announcement regarding a webcast of tommorrows keynote?
I was already skeptical of any new hardware announcements. Apple has said as much and they just released two new pieces a couple of days ago. But if there is no webcast, that pretty much cinches it.

yawn. they haven't webcast it the past 3 years. They don't webcast macworld tokyo or apple expo paris.
webcast means shit. it costs a lot of money and sees little benefit other than letting a few thousands mac extreme geeks get a 2 hour view of jobs overhyping everything.
there could be hardware announcements. there most likely won't be. the fact that there isn't a webcast doesn't mean anything though

I agree with applenut, though if you are internal at headquarters you get to watch it in Town Hall...
So um anyway back to the point... it is people like the above that create the H word... HYPE!
You guys maybe great people but lay off the <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> will yeah? This is a developer conference, not intended for consumers, or even power users (unless you are a developer). As most have said they will probably only discuss things we will never see, or if we do will be in a year or so when most developers have their major upgrades.
Though I do think they will talk about some GUI elements of Mac OS X that we will see, as well as speed increases but all of this I can almost promise we will see on <a href="http://apple.com/macosx"; target="_blank">http://apple.com/macosx</a>; tomorrow after the Keynote...

You know for all the proccessing power they have just sitting around over there you think they could allocate a few machines and some bandwidth for a "few hours" to share the new events with the avid apple fans and dedicated patrons around the world...

I think you would be shocked at how much "a few machines and some bandwidth for a 'few hours'" costs for the average Apple webcast.
eMac, Powerbook 800, eMac, Remote Desktop and on and on...
Don't discount anything till Stevieboy walk OFF the stage.

It was broadcast via sattelite.

Apple already announced that SJ would demo "Jaguar". I expect iPhoto 2 to be announced (no-brainer since it was available for a short while on Apple servers until pulled because of a reported conflict).

That was iPhoto 1.1 and it doesn't do what it was reported to do (screensavers, etc) and it worked for me. But for a 25MB download it didn't seem to anything except make the about screen say 1.1.

Macworld Tokyo isn't "streamed", it's usually put up for you to watch 2 or 3 days later (excpet this past year), big difference to having a live webcast and huge bandwidth needs.
Also, on the subject of cost: How much does Apple spend on TV ads? How much did that superbowl ad cost? If Apple is trying to sell something, i.e. they release a new product, it would make sense for them to allow people the privelege of watching what is, in effect, an hour long advertisement.
When was the last time Apple released a new product (not a hardware bump) at a large event without having it webcast? This is a serious question, I don't really remember.
