Serious TiBook Display problems

My roommates 1GHz 1GB TiBook is giving him static on the display that starts sometimes (like once a day now) and can only be removed by restarting. Obviously, it's going to have to be sent back/brought in, but does anybody know what the problem is? Has anyone had it before? Thanks.

    I had the same problem about a month ago. The answer I was given was 1. Loose video card or 2. bad video card. Since I have gotten my PB back it has worked just fine. Best to just send it in now, in my case the problem got worse.

    I have something like that happen for a few weeks at the end of every spring and start of every fall. I think my problem is related to humidity, but it really bugs me. All the color blue on the screen shifts 1"-2" to the left. I thought about turning it in to have it repaired, but the problem won't occur in a controlled environment. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
