Milky grey mark on Imac screen

Out of the blue this mark showed up today..about the size of an egg. It is not on the screen(my side).

I did some searching and others seem to be having the same issue although I couldn't find any reference on here about "Milky grey mark on Imac screen"

Is anyone aware of this type of problem and is there anything that can be done( it is out of warranty...obviously..since that is the way things seem to go:) Is my screen slowly kicking the bucket?

Edit...I think it may be humidity issues...
