Who's accessing my Airport BS?

I've just sat down at my imac, which is connected to the base station by wires. My only wireless computer is broken and is not up to doing any connecting.

However, I'm seeing activity lights that report a wireless computer is connected and using the base station.

Is there any way I can tell who it is? I don't get any response from trying IP addresses...

It's me. I live in the apt below you. :0)

Seriously, I see 4 FOUR wi-fi networks from my Mac here in my apt. I use them all the time. I even log into other people's Linksys admin page and tweak them! LOL

    Fools! Change your passwords! Duh!

I named my network "f*ck off". Just in case people wanna snoop around, I also use RADIUS.

I may cancle my RR cable account and just use my neighbors badwidth!

    Muhahahahahahah!

As a test, name your network "kiddy porn" and see if your neighbors freak out. LOL

    You can do that:

    <a href="http://www.etherpeg.org/"; target="_blank">http://www.etherpeg.org/</a>;

    Amorya:

Secure your network. You're able to do it with the Airport Admin Utility in /Applications/Utilities/

Activate encryption. Additionally you should be able to restrict your network to certain MAC addresses.

It's got WEP and a network password! That's what I don't understand! (When I first saw the left light flashing (when I posted that message) I turned WEP on, but it made no difference).

Does the fact the left light flashes definitely indicate wireless access? It's never flashed before unless I was using a wireless computer.

I know that the range extends no further than two houses each way - and I know most of the people living near me pretty well.

    Very strange.

But as it's only connected via 56k, I doubt they're too pleased with the speed they're getting!

Then wait for the FBI to show up at your door with a search warrent and members of the local media.
