Yesterday I posted my first post in this forum for over a year. This morning I received this obvious phishing scam in a email. "Obvious" because the email address they used was the one I registered to this forum, not the one I have registered to my Apple account. Beware of lame phishing scams...

You should install Ghostery or Little Snitch. You're probably completely unaware there are 67 trackers following you at this very moment here at AI. Only 5 of them have anything to do with Google. Either of the apps I mentioned will disable them, in total or selectively.
EDIT: How many are you counting with Little Snitch Tallest?
I also recommend you grab NoScript and HTTPS everywhere.
NoScript can be a bit annoying, but frankly the reduction in amount of JS running in my browser is a nice reduction in attack vectors to begin with.

Actually, I have Ghostery installed. It's counting 7 blocked trackers right now.

Thanks. I've never heard of either but I'll look them up.
Pause blocking and reload. Now how many do you see?
FWIW if you were already using Ghostery and blocking all trackers then your email scam almost certainly got there by another route. Perhaps AI itself shares member information??
